The small citadel city of Sighisoana offers a main square surrounded by colourful dwellings and is accessed by a myriad of cobbled streets. However one day is probably enough time to see the wonders of this small place and we found it very relaxing to sit in the square and enjoy some local food and a glass or two of wine. We jumped on the small tourist train to have a quick tour of the area, which lasts about 20 minutes and costs 20lei per person. We would recommend eating in the square at night to benefit from the lighting effect on the coloured buildings.
