Everything about this City feels clean and fresh, maybe its just the cold winter weather, but we love the place. Tallinn has much to offer and much to see and it's City Walls and numerous Towers are amazingly preserved.
There are numerous shopping malls in the centre and near to the port there is a large market, which attracts many cruise ship tourists. The city is busy but doesn't feel overrun with visitors. The pace of life here is relaxed and we have found the locals to be very friendly and helpful. We have sampled a number of the restaurants and I have to say the quality of meat dishes, particularly beef and chicken, is of a very high standard. Our personal favourite is the Peppersack Restaurant, close to the main square, where the food is excellent and the service is exemplary, see picture below.
The small square in the centre of Tallinn with its impressive Town Hall makes for a perfect Christmas Market setting. In our second week in Tallinn, we have had quite a bit of snow and the place has become a real Christmas Wonderland scene!
